Retrieving any stored item from your gear requires a standard action, unless it would normally take longer. Any item you drop lands 10 feet away from you in a random direction. Add mage hand and ghost sound to your list of spells known. At 5th level, add levitate and minor image to your list of spells known.

Knowledge Pool – when a magus prepares his magus spells, he can decide to expend 1 or more points from his arcane pool, up to his Intelligence bonus. For each point he expends, he can treat any one spell from the magus spell list as if it were in his spellbook and can prepare that spell as normal that day.

Bio:

When Arko was five years old his Dragonmark first became visible. Since then he was trained by the house Deneith to become a fighter. Arko exceled at everything they put before him. he quickly became head of the class and was sparing against kids twice his age. They found that he was a born leader and a true paragon of humankind. When he was 12 he started showing talents in magic. being able to cast spells without training. He was introduced to a training style that combines Wizardry and swordsmanship. When he was 18 his training was complete and he created his own style. he was a expert with the bastard sword, able to call on the raw magic like a sorcerer, and wield magic like a true wizard. the house called him a Swordsage.

he was a legend in his own time. the house also treated him as such and he quickly became the poster boy for house Deneith. He lead a unit that would always complete their missions. The unit for 3 years had a perfect record. They started becoming high in demand. The propaganda agents of house Deneith quickly found a use for Arko and his exploits were exposed throughout the nations. They showed him as a warrior unserpassed in Fighting and Wizardry. The house would then profit from exploiting Arko all the while feeding his ego. The house wasted his talents on missions where they made sure he would make a public face and made the killing blow but nothing else. then he was escorted to the next battle to make the final strike. The house was able to triple or quadruple their profits as long as the public, and who is paying, believed they were buying the boy wonder.

The house turned a great warrior into a simple puppet. Arko was no longer leading men, he was simplely standing in front of vicorious armies and then house Deneith would rake in the money. All the while beliving he was a champion for his house. When the war was over the nations no longer needed the ‘very best’. The demand for his services were no longer needed and Arko was just a egotistical prima donna. The house didnt know what to do with him until the twelve requested members of each house for ‘peace missions.’

House Deneith was more then happy to give Arko d’Deneith to the Twelve and then treated him like an unwanted step child. Arko tried to continue to get the special treatment from house Deneith but is now treated like a common frontline fighter. Faced with the fact that he was no longer wanted by his house others quickly learned his skills were over-exaggerated. Where he does have the raw talents very few have, his ego and unrefined skills quickly get in the way. he found that he was nothing special in the twelve. Starting over as a grunt for the twelve he now has to prove to others and himself worthy of the title ‘hero of the last war.’

this took place when Arko went back for his things in the compound before we left on the boat

Arko solemnly walked through The Twelve compound. He had a feeling that this might be his last time. He reminisced about the last year or so of being here and all the different adventures he has been on for the house. He remembered the time he and Flet barely escaped Droam with the cursed scepter of Vol. or when they victoriously defeated the Ogre champion that used a meat cleaver in one hand and a giant hook in the other. He stepped into the Deneith part of the compound and realized that things were not normal. They stepped up the security and have posted guards at all building entrances. The guards saluted to him and he gave them a courtesy nod entering the barracks. He walked to his room when a private called his name from across the courtyard. Private something or other, Arko was bad with names, especially people that don’t pertain to him. He remembers this kid as being nosy and whiny.

“Captain!” He saluted sharply “whats going on”
“Probably some kind of drill, don’t worry about it” Arko stated then tried to push past him
“it doesn’t seem like a drill” the private wasn’t buying it Arko quickly thought.
“Well, from the way they are posting people it looks like they are trying to find someone. So why don’t you keep an eye out for anything suspicious” Arko then saluted and stepped around him and moved quickly to his room.

Once inside he shut his door and finally realized what he was doing. He was betraying his house. While he didn’t lie to the private about what’s going on he also knew what was really going on. His friend Flet needed him to help him get out of danger. Arko grabbed a duffel bag from his closet and started throwing clothes into it. He didn’t have time to properly fold them first since he knew if anyone knew he was here he would be stopped and questioned and most likely held until things were straightened out. He finished his clothes and started grabbing his medals and awards. He stopped when he held the medial he won when he was still in the academy. The medal of excellence in swordsmanship he was the youngest person to ever receive it. He was only 16 when he entered the tournament. He was up against people ranging from 18-25. It was a tournament for anyone in the house to become that years swordsman champion. The war was going on so only people who either were still in the academy or house members that were not stationed elsewhere. After he won the tournament, he was visited by an elderly man named Reshar. Reshar was a blade master and saw much potential in Arko. He also was the man that gave him his sword.

A Knock at the door brought Arko out of his day dream. He quickly stuffed the rest of the medals in the bag. Grabbed a few more trinkets and yelled “Just a second!”

Arko already mapped out in his head his escape path. And he knew that made him a fugitive now. With a deep sigh he drew his honor dagger that he was given when he graduated from the academy and set it on the bed. He no longer was worthy of it. He is no longer of the house Deneith. He was simply Arko Brannigan now.

Everything he has done in his life now was just a thing of the past. He didn’t know what to do now in life. He guesses after Flet is safe he would turn himself in. He opened his widow that entered an alleyway as another knock on the door, now more forceful like a fist hitting it. He cast invisibility on himself and ducked into the closet. Next came a crash as they stormed into the room. one of them looked right past him into the closet. “He jumped out the window!” one of them yelled and they stormed out of the room. Arko ran with them close on their heels and let the noise of them marching cover his movement. When they were out in the courtyard and away from all the commotion he moved away from the unit and started sneaking around in back ally and non-main paths. He then worked his way into an empty warehouse as his spell wore off. He then climbed to the roof. Cast expeditious retreat and easily jumped from the warehouse to another building outside the complex.

Arko looked back one more time and with a deep sigh he drew up his hood over his head and shouldered his duffel bag and started heading to the docks.
